Illinois Institute for Rural Affairs
The Illinois Institute for Rural Affairs is designed to improve the quality of life in rural areas by developing public-private partnerships with local agencies on small business development and community development projects in rural areas.

Illinois Value-Added Rural Development Center
The mission of the Illinois Value-Added Rural Development Center (IVARDC) is to improve the incomes of Agricultural producers and small business owners and expand employment opportunities in rural Illinois by capturing more value-added in their operations.

The Value Project
Improving Illinois Farm Incomes and Rural Communities Through Specialty Farm Products and Value-Added Agriculture.

Provides links to agricultural cooperatives.

Cooperative Services
Helps rural residents form new cooperative businesses and improve the operations of existing cooperatives. Provides technical assistance to cooperatives and those thinking of forming cooperatives.

National Council of Farmer Cooperatives
A national member association, NCFC's website provides information, news, and events relating to farmer-owned cooperatives. Includes an explanation of what a cooperative is, how co-ops work, and "How to Start a Cooperative".

OSDBU
USDA's Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization provides maximum opportunity for small, small disadvantaged and small women-owned businesses to participate in USDA's contracting process. The OSDBU serves as USDA's central point of contact for general inquiries from industry, the Small Business Administration (SBA).

University of Wisconsin Center for Cooperatives
Provides journals, periodicals, research, and publications dealing with Cooperatives.
