Dennis Epplin is a crop systems educator with University of Illinois Extension. He holds a master's degree in environmental studies from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. His bachelor's degree is in plant industries from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
Epplin specializes in field crops, forages and alternative crops; weed control; soil fertility and tillage; and environmental issues related to agriculture.
He is a Certified Professional Agronomist and a Certified Crop Advisor. He is also a member of the American Society of Agronomy, St. Louis Agribusiness Club, National Association of County Agricultural Agents, and Illinois Extension Agricultural Association.
Epplin is involved as a volunteer in the Southern Illinois AgriBusiness Club, Rend Lake College Agriculture Advisory Council, and the City of Mt. Vernon Tree Board.
