The University of Illinois Extension's American Red Cross Babysitters Training was held in June Carmi, McLeansboro and Fairfield. The program taught skills necessary to provide a safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or guardians. CPR, first aid, safety and leadership were among other skills taught during the one-day training.
