Sports Nutrition
Grades K - 12
Sports Nutrition teaches fitness, nutrition and how the body works. The program teaches that you don't have to be an athlete to be healthy, and the program does not focus only on the health of athletes. Sports Nutrition explains the fallacy in some food myths and helps youth understand the relationship between food choices, proper exercise and athletic skills. Ideas for a few high-energy snacks are included. Additionally, students are taught that body size does not matter because everyone is built differently.
