Applications Accepted for West Central Leadership

West Central Leadership is now accepting applications from citizens in Warren and Henderson Counties who want to enhance their personal leadership skills. Through a series of workshops conducted January through May, 2010, participants will gain valuable information on Western Illinois and its people and the leadership skills necessary to assist in economic and community revitalization efforts. Applications will be received through December 1^st.

Topics to be included in the 2010 program include: community trusteeship, learning styles, strategic planning and implementation, public speaking, local government, parliamentary procedure, understanding the ag economy, and business ethics. Some new topics this year include Hiring and Keeping Good Employees, Understanding Cultural Differences, and an Introduction to Community Organizations.

The five month course of study begins on Saturday, January 9^th and will run for ten sessions. Classes generally meet on Thursday's from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with lunch provided and will be conducted at a variety of locations in Warren and Henderson Counties. Tuition for West Central Leadership is $150 per person. Partial scholarship assistance is also available.
