June

• 9 - 12^th - Camp Clover at Fairgrounds (35 youth)
• 13^th - Taught fitness & nutrition at Morris Library
• 16 - 19^th - Camp Clover at Braceville (15 youth)
• 21^st - Bike rodeo at Morris
• 24^th - Murder Mystery Camp (40 youth participated)
• 26 - 28^th - Taught statewide 4-H Leadership Academy in Champaign
• 30^th - Radio program (6 youth)
• 30^th - 4-H Federation & public speaking practice

July

• 4^th - 4-H dog show at county fair
• 7^th - 4-H public speaking contest
• 9 - 10^th - Taught GPS to AITC teachers
• 11^th - Home school 4-H meeting
• 11^th - Cake decorating contest
• 14 - 15^th - Taught leadership and GPS at Operation Military Kids camp in St. Louis
• 25^th - Carcass show in Chenoa
• 26 - 28^th - 4-H fair; major emphasis on Ag Olympics, superintendent, rocket launch, GPS and robotics
• 31^st - Trip to Yorkville water park with 55 4-H members

August

• 7^th - Project day (14 youth)
• 9^th - State fair Hall of Fame award at Springfield
• 11^th - State fair day for Grundy County
• 15^th - Judged at state fair
• 17^th - Horse show with Silver Spurs
• 18^th - Radio program with alumni & older youth
• 22^nd - Homes Cook Kids 4-H meeting
• 25^th - 4-H federation meeting
• 27^th - Ag breakfast
• 28^th - Military Kids deployment

September

• 5^th - United Way presentation
• 11^th - GPS program at South Wilmington
• 12^th - Home school 4-H meeting
• 14^th - Awards program for Saratoga Ag 4-H Club
• 15^th - Radio program - 4-H federation
• 16^th - Chamber of Commerce luncheon meeting
• 17^th - 4-H leaders' meeting
• 19^th & 22^nd - Taught Ag in the Classroom (AITC) in Coal City (175 youth)
• 21^st - 4-H kick off event
• 24 - 26^th - Taught forestry unit to 800 5^th graders at Goose Lake
• 27^th - Set up for cut meat auction (almost $5,000 raised for federation)
• 28^th - Float for Corn Festival
• 29 - 30^th - Taught conservation to area 5^th graders (300 youth)

I would like to thank all of the youth & adults who have helped the Youth Development program thrive during the transition to a new building (I love having a window). A special thanks to Chaley Morris and Janet Wells for helping share the current workload.
