Rick Keim has been the County Director in Greene County since 1992. Previously, he served as Extension Adviser, Agriculture, in Pike, Schuyler and Brown Counties.
He received a bachelor's of science degree in Agricultural Sciences from Western Illinois University in 1975 and a master's of science degree in Extension Education from the University of Illinois in 1986.
Keim is involved in the Carrollton Chamber of Commerce, Greene County Economic Development Group, and Carrollton Lions Club. He is also a Master Volunteer Hunter Education instructor with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. He is a life member of the National Rifle Association and the Illinois State Rifle Association.
As a member of the National Association of County Agricultural Agents (NACAA), he has received the Distinguished Service Award and state communication awards for personal column, feature story, direct mail piece, and publications/fact sheets. In addition, as a member of Illinois Extension Agricultural Association (IEAA), Keim has received the Action Award. He is also a member of Epsilon Sigma Phi.
