Coordinating Group
Tourism Alliance Coordinating Group
Mission:
To provide leadership and coordination to facilitate the cooperation and progress of multiple groups, organizations, agencies, businesses, and individuals working together in the full (and ongoing) implementation of agreed-upon initiatives toward realizing a shared vision of success for tourism development in Fulton County.
Coordinating Group Guidelines:
Accountability & Guidance
Will be accountable to larger FultonCounty "tourism community" represented by Tourism Summit Delegates
Will be guided by a mission derived from shared vision and toward realizing shared "vision of success"
Transparency and open communication
Legitimacy & Limits
Coordinating group's legitimacy will depend upon satisfactory discharge of responsibilities it assumes toward realizing shared vision and implementing agreed-upon initiatives.
Coordinating group WILL NOT direct, dictate, or command and will have NO authority to do so.
Activities & Operations
Coordinating group WILL coordinate, collaborate, orchestrate, convene, invite, negotiate, educate, explore, and cooperate toward the implementation of agreed-upon initiatives.
Will fill liaison, networking, and point-of-contact role between and among groups.

Mission Match--Own or organization's with tourism development
Skills and resources, not merely availability
"Big picture" thinking
Team play abilities required
Willingness and ability to take responsibility in overall tourism development effort
Desired Group Characteristics
Coordinating group should strive to be and remain fast and effective.
Ideally members will be able to make tourism development part of their "day-jobs" or otherwise devote time.
Group should employ "best practices" for teamwork and effective meetings.
