Encouraged Environmental Responsibility
- 139 participated in horticulture programs.
- 60 gardeners learned about topics from hummingbirds to weeds at the annual Gardeners' Big Day at Spoon River College.
- 30 participated in the 4-seasons horticulture telenets to learn more about dwarf conifers, bulbs, shade plants, edible flowers, and more.
- 75 individuals became certified in safe pesticide use.
- 22 Master Gardeners "Helped over 1350 Others Learn to Grow" through various community gardens, presentations, and events.
- 65 residents participated in the Illinois River Sweep efforts at Liverpool and Banner in 2006.
- 13 people learned Landscape Design in their home through a home-study course.
- Fulton County Master Gardeners designed, installed, and maintained new plantings at Canton's Jones Park and the Dickson Mounds Indian Garden.
