A family cookbook needn't be fancy to be appreciated and useful to future generations. But there are things you can do to create a family recipe collection that will become a treasured and well-used heirloom – not just another book that sits on a shelf. Segments in this lesson will include: planning your project, putting your recipes on paper if you're an intuitive cook who "carries it all in your head"; and testing/editing recipes for use by inexperienced cooks who may not know a dash from a dollop. If time permits, we will also talk about choosing and using computer-based resources to make the project more manageable, and using scrap booking supplies and other materials to make your book as attractive as it is useful.
Alice Hunt and other Franklin County HEA Board members who have experience in creating cookbooks will teach this program. It is set for Tuesday, January 15th at 10:00 a.m. in the Extension Building. Anyone interested is welcome to attend.
