The Bank at School kit is a curriculum that has been provided by the Illinois Treasurer's Office. The binder of lesson plans is geared towards 4th-8th grades. Topics such as who needs money, why save, where money comes from, the ins and outs of checking accounts, career exploration, wants and needs, loans and savings accounts.
We have also supplemented this curriculum with two sets of 4-H curriculum – Financial Champions & Consumer Savvy. The Financial Champions curriculum has two levels of workbooks that explores money personalities, money motivation, the truth about credit, tracking income and expenses, and much more. Consumer Savvy has three levels to use with ages 10-18. Cost comparisons, tracking spending, consumer behavior, decision making, consumer rights and responsibilities are covered in this curriculum.
