Now that school is out for the summer, parents often hear "I'm bored; there's nothing to do"!. Here are some creative ideas to keep your child active and learning new things.

For the 7th consecutive year, U of I Extension offers tours that highlight sustainable agriculture operations around Illinois. On September 22nd, visit Bob & Coleen Blain's River Front Berry Farm near Martinton to see their fresh fruits and vegetables.

ATTENTION 4-H CLUBS: The 4-H Million Trees Project (4HMT) is an international service-learning project to inspire the approximately 6.5 million North American 4-H youth to plant 1 million trees to combat global climate change. In the past year, over 14,000 youth from 38 states and provinces have planted in excess of 29,000 trees.

Is there a strange purple object hanging in a tree near you? If so, you may be wondering what it is and why it is there.
