State Fair Changes
This year, State Fair Officials have decided to condense the 4-H "general exhibit" presence at the Illinois State Fair from the entire 10 days of the fair to only 7 days, Monday, August 11 through Sunday, August 17. The competitive events planned for the first weekend are being rescheduled to each of the previously assigned county days (Saturday, August 16, for Wabash County). This includes Public Presentations, Fashion Revue, Food Demonstrations, and the Club/Group Exhibits. The exception will be the Bicycle Rodeo which will take place one day only, Saturday, August 16. This change will allow most families who may have been involved in multiple areas to make only one trip to the State Fair. If you have any questions, please call the Extension Office at 445-2934.
