This curriculum provides a basic overview for understanding and supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth. Three main topics may be used as a format for an entire day workshop or for three one-hour trainings. They include identity development, physical and emotional health, and key supports and resources. Common terms and definitions are discussed, and participants develop a personal awareness of their own values. Power point presentation, lesson plans, and worksheets are available. Presentation by Extension educator or train-the-trainer meetings can be arranged.
