University of Illinois Extension, Edwardsville Center provides counties and communities with a wide range of research-based information and program opportunities. The Edwardsville Center staff works to meet the needs of rural and urban residents in the following areas:

  • Consumer & Family Economics
  • Crop Sciences
  • Food Crop Horticulture
  • Nutrition & Food Safety

Societal and economic issues of today are complex and inter-related. Environmental issues, health and wellness, food safety, money management, retirement, crop pests, and youth development are issues that affect us all. Extension Educators at the Edwardsville Center work as a team with other Extension colleagues throughout Illinois to address these complex issues of today. Traditionally known for agricultural programming, today's Extension responds to the needs of individuals, businesses, and communities.
