2009 "To Market...To Market" Directory Available

University of Illinois Extension in collaboration with University of Missouri Extension has compiled a list of farmer's markets, roadside stands and pick-your-own farms in the St. Louis Bi-State area entitled, "To Market...To Market." The directory lists addresses, phone numbers, hours of operation and directions to some of the areas best markets, stands and u-pick farms.

Food Safety Tip of the Day

Cooling hot foods to 41 degrees within 6 hours ensures a safe product. To do so, place hot food in shallow pans no more than 4 inches deep. Place in the refrigerator and stir every 30 minutes to aid the release of heat.
