Lisa Ellis provides leadership in developing and marketing programs for University of Illinois Extension in Edgar County, especially in the agriculture, horticulture, family life, consumer science and nutrition areas. As the unit leader, she networks with other community resources and is responsible for fiscal and facility management.

Ellis received a bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a minor in English from St. Mary-of-the Woods College in Terre Haute, Indiana. She received a Master's Degree in Business Administration from University of Illinois-Springfield campus.

She has served as Edgar unit leader since 1998. Ellis's professional affiliation is with Epsilon Sigma Phi.
