Performing Arts

Making believe! Acting up! Being a puppeteer! Wouldn't it be fun to pretend, create sound effects, put on make up, become a character, and take a bow! Youth in grades K - 12 will have that chance through the Theatre Arts Adventure curriculum. Working alone with a helper or in a group or classroom, youth will be able to imagine, refine, and present creative ideas in the areas of acting, mime, movement, puppetry, and technical theatre (from makeup to costumes to lighting). In Soaring into Action, youth have the opportunity to practice acting, puppetry, sound effects, color, and make up. In A Quest for Expression, youth delve into greater detail through costumes and props. Voyaging Beyond leads to set design, prompting, lighting, and striking the set.
