Look around. Electricity is everywhere. Understanding the science behind electricity is important for everyone at any age. In The Magic of Electricity and Investigating Electricity, general electrical concepts and skills are identified that will be needed for understanding and success in subsequent activities. These concepts include magnetism, electron flow, circuit design and principles. Wired for Power explores energy around the home. Entering Electronics introduces the basics of solid-state electronics and provides hands-on activities that give youth practical experience in understanding modern day electronic equipment and providing them with career skills and opportunities.
Instructional Materials
Teacher's manual and three youth manuals are available. An educational kit with supplies for a number of activities is available On A Loan Basis Only. The kit has a teaching guide that will lead the class through several demonstrations that require hands-on learning.
