Earth Day 2007

4-H Jr. Master Gardener Club, Farmer City
Nyssa Smith, Taylor Bultia, Alexis Godbee, Austin Shrenk, Carissa Godbee, Curtis Godbee, Matthew Smith participated in workshops, created crafts and help with various service projects.

Farmer City Jr. Master Gardeners
Farmer City Jr. Master Gardeners attend workshop and make a bug mobile. Amanda Schrenk, Elizabeth Cordes, Emily Zelhort and Baily Wright were the participants.

DeWitt County Master Gardeners
Marcia Turpin and Tim Staber, Master Gardeners, are shown working on the landscape in front of the DeWitt County Extension office. Marcia Turpin is also working with Junior Master Gardeners in Farmer City and other Farmer City community horticulture projects. Tim Staber is working with youth to plant a vegetable garden. The produce will be given to limited income individuals this summer. He also works on horticulture projects with a senior housing project. Master Gardeners are volunteers trained by University of Illinois Extension educators to provide gardening and horticultural activities to educate the public and enhance life in their communities.
