Pesticide Safety Education Program

Location: DeWitt County Extension office

Fee: $30.00
Training and testing to obtain a private pesticide applicators license. Study manuals and workbooks are available for purchase at the Extension office.
Central Illinois Crop Management Conference
- February 12-13: Central Illinois Crop Management Conference, Route 66 Hotel and Conference Center, Springfield. For more information, contact Robert Bellm, Edwardsville Extension Center 618-692-9434.
The conference participants will be able to attend three general sessions of broad interest, including bioenergy opportunities, new water quality nutrient standards, and maximizing soybean yields. They also can attend up to six specialized concurrent sessions focusing on crop management issues, such as foliar fungicides for corn and soybean economics, GPS technology, weed resistance, on-farm research design, insect and disease pests, and crop budgets, insurance, and risk management.
Certified Crop Advisers can earn up to 13 hours of CEU credit. Advance registration, no later than one week before the conference, is $100 per person. Late on on-site registration is $125. The fee includes lunch, refreshments, and handouts both days. There is no one-day registration option.

Midwest Organic Production and Marketing Conference and Trade Show
