Peggy received her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology with a specialization in Wildlife Management from Southern Illinois University of Carbondale, Illinois. She received her Masters in Education from Northern Illinois University. Her specialization was in Outdoor Teacher Education, Curriculum and Instruction.

Peggy enjoys teaching people of all ages about the natural resources in DeKalb County. The heart of the natural resources programming is the Natural Resource Center located just west of Genoa. There families can come to see a program, watch the many birds from the bird viewing window or hike along the Kishwaukee River which is right out the front door.
