The Dekalb County University of Illinois Extension Master Gardeners are planning an all-new Gardenwalk and Plant Sale for you!
It will take place from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, rain or shine, with eight unique Dekalb-area gardens participating.
The Plant Sale will go on all day at the Dekalb County Center for Agriculture, and will include a Master Gardener Helpdesk, plant-care handouts, and a Garden Boutique.

The proceeds of the Gardenwalk and Plantsale are used to fund programs of the University of Illinois Extension Service.
The Extension Service offers educational programs in the areas of
>Healthy society: nutrition and health
>Food security and safety
>Environmental stewardship: natural resources and the environment
>Sustainable and profitable food production and marketing systems
>Horticulture
>Enhancing youth, family and community well-being (including the 4-H program)
>Community and economic development
Extension programs may be offered as hands-on workshops, field days, self-paced tutorials online, or in other formats suitable for the audience and the subject-matter.
The Extension Service also manages a network of research centers throughout the state as a service to crop producers, landowners, the agricultural industry, the green industry, and commercial growers.
