The University of Illinois Extension Family Nutrition Program (FNP) promotes safe and healthy eating by providing nutrition education programs and materials for food stamp eligible residents of DeKalb and ninety other Illinois counties.

The Family Nutrition Program is funded with Food Stamp Administrative funds by the Food & Consumer Service of the U. S. Department of Agriculture. Family Nutrition Programs are available at many locations:

DeKalb County FNP Coordinator Janelle Stein joined Extension in 2001, after completing her dietetic internship. She enjoys helping her fellow community members make healthy lifestyle changes.
