Nutrition & Health
To increase the ability of individuals and families with limited resources to utilize their food dollars and food stamps appropriately and to provide a safe meal environment. This is accomplished by providing free, informal, and easily accessible educational programs in the home and community. These programs focus on developing knowledge and skill related to nutrition and meal planning; food purchasing, preparation, and safety; and resource management.

Hope Dennis with the Crawford County Extension office reaches hundreds of families through programs we provide using our "Family Nutrition Program". We currently visit monthly the 3 Food Pantries (Robinson, Oblong, Palestine), the 3 Senior Centers (Robinson, Oblong, Palestine), several pre-school classes in Robinson, Hutsonville and Palestine, and also we teach nutrition through the ACE-After School/Summer Success Programs and at the Exceptional Citizens Workshop.
