The Grant Resource Center provides focused searches for local organizations who need grant funding. A monthly Grant Alert is e-mailed to organizations who are interested in obtaining grants. Editing and proofreading as well as grant writing services are also offered.
The University of Illinois Extension Grant Resource Center is designed to strengthen programs in Crawford County. The county supports a large contingent of service-oriented organizations whose focus is vulnerable populations of all ages. Non-profit groups, governmental entities, schools, businesses and even individuals can qualify for grants from local, corporate, state and/or federal sources. But grant writing can be an intimidating process, one many groups avoid in favor of more familiar forms of fundraising.
The Grant Resource Center has helped many such organizations earn the trust and support of funders locally, at the state level, and nationally. It has helped organizations like the Crawford County Fair Association, Gingerbread House Day Care Center and the Crawford County Heritage Foundation bridge the gap between their programs and their funders, drawing the two together so that those they serve receive the benefits they so desperately need.
