Youth Gardens

  • Children's Garden at Morton Arboretum
    Curiosity will sprout and imagination will bloom at the Children's Garden at The Morton Arboretum. Kids can splash, slide, climb and jump their way through ten exciting garden areas.

  • Coyne Center Elementary School Theme Gardens
    Learning is fun for students of all ages in the gardens on the school grounds in Milan, Illinois. The outdoor classroom consists of 12 garden areas and it has been certified as a National Wildlife Federation Schoolyard Habitat.

  • Granny's Garden School
    Spectacular school garden in Loveland, Ohio. Students, parents and teachers have turned the school grounds and surrounding woods into living laboratories used by whole community.

  • Lena Meijer Children's Garden
    Lena Meijer Children's Garden in Grand Rapids, Michigan is a family-friendly garden for kids of all ages. At five acres, it is one of the largest Children's Gardens in the nation. This garden focuses on gardening, wildlife and nature found in the Great Lakes Region. Ten themed areas include the Kid-Sense Garden, Great Lakes Garden, Story-Telling Garden, Wooded Wetlands, Rock Quarry, Log Cabin, Tree House Village, Sculpture Walk, Labyrinth and Butterfly Maze.

  • Michigan 4-H Children's Garden
    Sixty individual theme areas within the Children's Garden, all relating to a child's life in some way

  • Seattle Youth Gardens Work
    The program was founded in 1995 by Margaret Hauptman, who wanted to provide jobs and training for homeless youth. The project started with a small landscaping project and has grown into the two successful garden to market projects.
