Maureen Statland has been with University of Illinois Extension since 2001. She is responsible for the development and delivery of educational programs to youth, educators, volunteers and program partners in north, northwest and west suburban Cook County. Her programming includes the 4-H community club program, School Enrichment/Incubation & Embryology Program and non-traditional youth programming for urban audiences.
Statland is a member of the Illinois Extension Professionals for Youth Education (IEPYE), Generations United and the American Society on Aging; the Chair of the Chicago Metropolitan Intergenerational Committee (CMIC), and a Charter Member of the International Consortium for Intergenerational Programmes (ICIP).
Statland earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and her master's degree in sociology/gerontology from Roosevelt University in Chicago.
