Leilah McNabb
Extension Unit Educator, Science and Technology
Leilah McNabb joins Extension from Harvard Medical School where she managed technology development contracts and advised students on career opportunities in science. She is a strong advocate for equal access to science and technology, having implemented scientific outreach and career development programs for local area minority students in Philadelphia and Boston. McNabb has delivered scientific presentations to several national and international societies, including the Society for Neuroscience, the International Congress of Psychiatric Genetics, and the Harold Amos Biomedical Society, as well as authored several peer-reviewed scientific publications. She has also received several professional honors, including a National Research Service Award from the National Institutes of Health, a Fontaine Fellowship from the University of Pennsylvania, and being named a Mayo Minority Scholar. McNabb earned her Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in Pharmacological Sciences and her bachelor's degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from Tulane University.
