Lasana Kazembe's pedagogical approaches seek to create a true knowledge environment that provides an appropriate and relevant space for 21st century learning styles. Mr. Kazembe develops and facilitates innovative learning enrichment opportunities that promote digital literacy skills and provide scaffolds to raise aspirations, enhance learning, and pique intellectual curiosity.
Mr. Kazembe has designed and taught workshops for both youth and adults. His educational technology pursuits and programs span cyberwriting, digital storytelling, photojournalism, videography, 21st century digital literacy, and technical writing.
Mr. Kazembe is a strong proponent and practitioner of collaborative learning and project-based instructional methods. His technology-based course offerings are uniquely designed to eradicate the gulf of understanding and access to technology among traditionally underserved communities. Mr. Kazembe's ultimate goal is a technologically astute and motivated community with ubiquitous access to all forms of cyber-services, regardless of economic status, educational level, location of residence, functional limitation, or any other factor.
Mr. Kazembe's scholarly efforts seek to inspire and enhance people's lives, meet learners where they are, and harness the power of educational technology to create new pathways for humans to learn and thrive in the digital age.
Mr. Kazembe earned a B.F.A. in Creative Writing and an M.A. in Scientific and Technical Communication from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
