Van Horn joins Extension from the Teachers Academy for Math and Science (TAMS) in Chicago where he developed instructional programs, instructed and supported teachers in developing curricular materials and creating delivery strategies for the classroom. He is a certified teacher and has worked in a variety of areas including health physics and nuclear power emergency response. Van Horn has extensive direct teaching, scoring, evaluation, and project management experience. He earned his master's degree in education with an emphasis on instructional technology from Northern Illinois University.
