Success Stories

One potato, two potato... This is the song being sung by more than 700 preschool age children at ten Chicago head start programs. These youth all participated in the All Washed Up! hand washing program and learned the importance of keeping their hands clean. When the children reach the end of the song they know that they have washed their hands long enough to remove harmful germs.

The seniors at Sequin Service enjoyed learning about planting and cooking with herbs. Some have started to use more herbs and less salt when cooking.

FNP has worked with caretakers and foster parents candidates at New Horizons Resource and Referral to fulfill their requirement for nutrition education. Nutrition education is a required component for their state certification.
