Technical writers develop documents that explain technical issues in ways that non-technical people (end users) can easily understand. For example, a technical writer might be responsible for writing the how-to manual for a software application or product. This workshop explores the fundamentals of technical writing, editing, and document design. Workshop participants are challenged to write about a particular product and then use computers and design software to create brochures, data sheets, and other product literature. Sessions also provides information about careers in technical writing.
