Just a note to let you know that a bill to fund Extension for 2008/09 passed both the House and Senate Saturday. The Bill is now on the Governor's desk. Amendment 2 of this Bill contains appropriations for County Board Match, Cook County Initiative and 4-H Youth Development.

The numbers for these three lines are $14.3 million-County Board Match, $5.365 million-Cook County Initiative and $1.87 million-4-H Youth Development.

The bill still requires the Governor's signature before becoming law. Also remember that he has line-item veto power. So, stay tuned.
