Cook County Sheriff's Garden: June 18

I stopped by the Cook County Sheriff's garden today. It has been about two weeks since the garden was planted. Weather has been very good for veggies the last two weeks. No extreme heat which allowed the transplants to become established.

Right now D.C.S.I. detainees have planted the following vegetables: sweet corn, tomatoes, collards, cucumbers, peppers, squash, pumpkins, mustard greens, cabbage, peanuts and herbs.

We are working on labeling for all the plants.
