Senior Centers in Illinois

Senior centers throughout Illinois offer a wide range of programs and activities for older adults, services which may include congregate meals, transportation, education, counseling, legal assistance and health screening. Senior Centers and the service programs they offer provide a link with local community resources available to older persons.

Grandparenting Resources

The role of a grandparent is hard to define. It can mean anything from someone who makes the best cookies or tells the best stories to someone who provides care when needed. Today some grandparents are finding themselves in a role they never expected to be in - the role of raising their grandchild. Regardless of the role a grandparent finds themselves in, the following resources and information from the University of Wisconsin Extension's Family Living programs may be helpful.
