EAB Bark Peeling Sessions in Evanston
USDA/APHIS will host a training session on Emerald Ash Borer Bark-Peeling Survey techniques on Tuesday, August 26. Sessions will be conducted by Ivich Fraser- EAB Entomologist, Brighton, Michigan. Two sessions will be offered-one at 9 a.m. and another at 11 a.m. (BOTH are FULL). An additional session has been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. There will be a limit of 25 people per session. Extension staff and Master Gardeners are welcome to attend.
Please contact Julie Kaiser at 847-299-6939 or Julie.Kaiser@aphis.usda.gov to reserve a space. The session will be held at Lovelace Park, Evanston, Illinois. The park is at the intersection of Gross Point Road and Thayer. Please wear appropriate field attire, as participants will practice bark-peeling techniques.
