The Family Nutrition Program (FNP) is coordinated by Mary Kay Spannagel. She is certified in nutrition education and has been with the program since 1998. Coles County FNP promotes safe and healthy eating for Food Stamp eligible individuals and families. FNP collaborates with community agencies to meet the needs of this population.
Funding for the Coles County Family Nutrition Program is through Food Stamp Administrative funds by the Food and Consumer Service of the U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

- food budgeting

- food pantries
- Food Stamp office (Department of Human Services)
- WIC Office

- senior citizen centers
- shelters (domestic violence and homeless)
