University of Illinois Extension helps the citizens of Coles County put knowledge to work. Thousands of Coles County residents take advantage of research-based educational programming every year to enable them to make practical decisions. No matter where you live, your age or occupation, U of I Extension has something for you. Programming in food and nutrition, agriculture, home horticulture, and leadership is offered on an annual basis. The Coles County 4-H youth development program reaches over 1,300 youth through 4-H community clubs and 4-H school enrichment programs. Our goal is simple -- to help the county citizens improve their quality of life by putting knowledge to work.
