LaDean provides leadership in developing, marketing and evaluating programs for the Clinton County Unit of University of Illinois Extension. As the County Director, she markets the Extension programs, networks with other community resources, and is responsible for fiscal and facility management.
She received her degrees in Ornamental Horticulture (B.S.) and Agriculture Education (M. Ed) from the University of Illinois. In addition, she also holds a Masters degree in Environmental Science from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.
LaDean was with Extension from 1997 - 1982 first as a Youth Adviser in Crawford County then as a Horticulture Advisor in St. Clair. She came back to Extension in 2002, serving as the as a Youth Educator in Bond County for 1 year, before coming to her present position as County Director in Clinton County in November of 2003.
Scheurer's professional affiliations include Illinois Extension Professionals for Youth Education and Illinois Extension Agricultural Association.
