The US Department of Agriculture has a division called the Natural Resources Conservation Service. Regional RC & D Councils throughout the United States help foster local decision-making to address natural resource and rural economic problems. The RC & Ds are a unique blend of private enterprise and creative government that continues to develop rural economies by improving and conserving local natural resources.
