The Christian County Ag Literacy Program offers a comprehensive agricultural curriculum for grades K-8, promotes the agricultural industry as a career option, and increases public awareness of agriculture as a viable industry.

Christian County 4-H Foundation
The Christian County 4-H Foundation promotes, sponsors and fosters 4-H work in Christian County through the generosity of local donors.

Christian County Extension Council
The Christian County Extension Council is an advisory group that cooperates with local Extension staff in planning, promoting, developing, implementing, evaluating and financing an Extension program designed to meet the needs, interests, and resources of the local communities served.

Dudley Smith Initiative
The Dudley Smith Initiative invests in research and outreach to strengthen Illinois agricultural systems that are linked to rural communities by cultural, economic, and environmental interdependencies.

Family Nutrition Program (FNP)
The FNP program helps eligible food stamp recipients become better educated about nutrition, food safety and food budgeting.

Home and Community Education Association (HCEA)
The Christian County Home and Community Education Association (HCEA) enhances the lives of individuals and families through quality educational programs, cultural events and activities that develop responsible leadership and provide service to the community.

LEADership Academy
The 2010 LEADership Academy is an opportunity for Christian County residents to become better informed about issues impacting our county, our communities, and the world around us. Program components include weekly topical sessions and tours designed to enhance people skills, provide personal growth, promote networking and encourage creative thinking. This year classes will be held on Wednesday afternoons beginning January 12 through March 30, 2010 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Tuition is $199 per person.

Master Gardeners
Master Gardeners in Christian County use their training to help individuals with their home and commercial horticulture challenges.
