Suzanne Bissonnette

Extension Educator, Integrated Pest Management

Since 1992, Suzanne has been an Integrated Pest Management Extension Educator with University of Illinois Extension. Suzanne provides leadership in identifying, managing and controlling weed and insect pests, disease diagnosis and control, for commercial row crops and for urban pest management. She is responsible for educating agriculturists about IPM technologies to aid in the management of economic pests of field crops as well as conducting applied field research to demonstrate and investigate IPM principles and concepts. She is co-director of the U of I Extension Online Plant Diagnostic Clinic, editor of the Illinois Pest Management Handbook and Coordinator of the Champaign Extension Center. Suzanne received her B.S in 1984 in Botany at the University of Minnesota, her M.S. in 1987 and Ph. D. in 1992 in Plant Pathology at the University of Illinois, C-U.
