Kevin Brooks is the Farm Business Management and Marketing Educator for University of Illinois Extension at the Champaign Extension Center.
As an Educator, Brooks is involved in developing online Agricultural Business programs. He also uses traditional face-to-face approaches, often in tandem with a mobile computer lab. His Programs are also offered online.
Since 2003,Brooks has collaborated with organizations and educational institutions in the former Soviet Union, with the primary goal being to seek export markets for Illinois based agribusinesses. Brooks also uses these experiences to enhance Illinois constituents' abilities to operation in a global business climate.
Brooks was involved in his family's grain and livestock farm in southeastern Iowa. Kevin's professional experience includes: Coordinator of Agriculture Programs at Richland Community College, as well as an extensive background in agribusiness sales management. His primary focus in agribusiness involved restructuring unprofitable entities into profitable and highly competitive units.
Brooks specializes in assisting producers in developing commodity marketing plans, aiding absentee landowners in understanding their role in managing the farm, and adapting computer technology use in financial management.
