Angela Reinhart, a Champaign County resident for 46 years, has been coordinating innovative parenting, child care, family nutrition, and financial skills programs as the Champaign County Extension Unit Family Life Educator since January 1999.
Angela has actively worked in collaboration with other agencies to strengthen the skills and resources of Champaign County's citizens for more than 30 years, serving as an Urbana nursery school teacher, licensed family child care provider, resource specialist for the U of I Child Care Resource Service, and a program developer at the Champaign County Regional Planning Commission.
She currently serves on the United Way of Champaign County's Success by 6 Educare and Social/Emotional work groups, the Birth to Five Council, and Read Across America advisory board. Her professional associations include National Association for the Education of Young Children, the National Association for Family and Consumer Sciences, and their respective state and local chapters.
Angela earned a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor's degree in Home Economics Education/Child Development from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
