Encouraged Environmental Responsibility

  • 533 participated in horticulture programs
  • 115 individuals became certified in pesticide use
  • 160 learned pond and tree management
  • 2,100 viewed horticulture/pest management practices at the Master Gardener Idea Garden

  • Gardening and personal development skills for 85 youth at the Juvenile Detention Center
  • Personal development and money skills for 1400 Lincoln Challenge Academy’s cadets
  • Workshops for adults with special needs residing in group homes
  • Continuing education training for 200 childcare providers
  • 92 families received monthly money management consultations to reduce debt
  • 95 adults learned of financial considerations for long-term care
  • 60 landowners became more informed of farm lease agreements
  • 615 families received monthly nutrition information to improve health
  • 200 seniors continued learning about nutrition and money management skills to remain self-sufficient
