Growers Roundtable and Grape Vineyard Tour
On June 15 (Thursday) Specialty Growers, Artisans or anyone marketing their agricultural products direct to consumers are encourage to attend our next Roundtable Meeting and Tour.
We will begin at 2 PM with an hour tour of Jim Nickell's Grape Vineyards in northern Calhoun County. From 3 PM - 4 PM growers will discuss a marketing plan for the region. From 4-5 Mr. Nickell will host a wine tasting. You are encouraged to bring family and friends with you.
From Hardin Take Highway 96 West towards Mozier ...at the Junction go 5 miles to Belleview... turn East on Belleview Hollow Road (St. Agnes Catholic Church is on this road) proceed 1.5 miles and stay to the right of the Y cross the concrete bridge and go another 1/2 mile to the Vineyard (park in the back of the house). Please reply to Jennifer Russell, County Extension Director by email (perica@uiuc.edu or call 618-498-2913 if you are planning to attend.
