Nutrition & Health

The Bureau County Family Nutrition Program (FNP) teaches and promotes safe and healthy eating for families on a budget. The program focuses on nutrition, menu planning, food safety, and food budgeting. FNP information and workshops are available at local food pantries, Head Start Program sites, WIC, public aid offices, schools/after-school programs, churches, community centers, senior citizen centers, and social service agencies. Extension staff members help families learn how to do a better job of managing their money, communicating with their children, and preventing diet-related health problems.
