These programs are made possible through program and resource support from: University of Illinois Extension -Bureau County, Bureau County Youth Development Coalition, local collaborators and local donors.

Model After-school Programs encompass all ages with grades K-8 receiving programs and grades 9-12 assisting with programs.

Goal: To provide a safe, supervised atmosphere to support scholastic abilities and provide recreation for students.

"Research shows that the hours between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., when youth are most likely to be unsupervised, are critical relative to increased juvenile crime, drug use, violent acts and sexual activity."

These fun, model after-school sites serve youth from Kindergarten to Eighth Grade during the school year calendar. The program is fun, provides physical fitness/healthy lifestyle and nutrition education with healthy snacks, and help with homework and enrichment opportunities for youth.
