!!! SCHOLARSHIPS !!!

Attention all high school seniors! Have you wondered what you will do after high school? Get a job, continue your education? If continuing your education sounds good to you, but you wonder how you will pay for it, let this be of some help to you.

** Bond County Farm Bureau Foundation Scholarship--A $500.00 scholarship to a member or child of a current Bond County Farm Bureau member. Field of study: Agriculture, Agribusiness or Agriculture related. Two of four year institution enrollment for the 2008-09 school year. DUE DATE IS MARCH 17, 2008. Application can be picked up at the Bond County Farm Bureau.

**2008 "We Understand" Agriculture Scholarship Application- Farm Credit Services of Illinois--Applications can be picked up at the University of Illinois Extension Office in Bond County or by accessing the following website: www.usfarmcredit.com/AboutUs/CEILWelcomePage.asp and selecting "We Understand" Scholarship Program. Deadline for this application is March 31, 2008.

**$500.00 Ken Kennedy Scholarship--Applications for the Ken Kennedy Memorial Scholarship are available at the office. Criteria include: 4-H member for 5 years, must be under 21 years (4-H age), must have been in a Bond County 4-H program, and monies must be used for post-high school education. Letter of acceptance, transcript, application and essay are DUE APRIL 15, 2008 to the Bond County Extension Office.

**1 or 2- $500.00 Bond County HEA Scholarships--Applications for the Bond County HEA Scholarships are available at the office. Must be: a Bond County High School Senior or a neighboring county senior with a parent in Bond County HEA, and a grade point average between 3.0 -4.0. Applications, transcript, photo and address of post-high school institution listed. Based on financial need. DUE BY APRIL 15, 2008.

**Illinois Association for Home and Community Education-- Up to ten ($500.00) scholarships will be awarded throughout Illinois for college freshmen as well as upper classmen. May apply more than once. For immediate family member, child or grandchild of an HEA member for the last three years. Applicant must attend a two or four year institutionand maintain a 2.0 grade point average. Do not need to be a Home Economic major to apply. DUE DATE IS MAY 1, 2008--Applications are available at the office or on our website.

**2008 Allison Langham 4-H Memorial Scholarship-- This scholarship is based on 4-H Accomplishments, Community Involvement, and an essay on "How 4-H has Influenced My Life". A $500 scholarship is granted annually in memory of Allison Langham, who was a Bond County 4-H member of the Showstring's 4-H Club. DUE DATE IS SEPTEMBER 15, 2008.
